• Started writing this from Loma Linda, a town that largely reminds me of a PS2 free-roam game eg it has all the things a city “should” have but has a perpetual feeling of sterile artifice. I love this place for a very specific set of reasons
• I tried Top Golf today. I think it was the first time I’ve ever swung a golf club. Not really my thing but the vibes were cool
• Finished writing this at Omo Mercado (wine bar) in Upland. The sun is setting. The terrace has cacti and midtempo hip hop is playing in the background. The barista has bleached hair and really nice eyes.

what’s on

• Saw Marty Supreme again with the siblings and it was just as good if not better the second time through. Catharsis plays a big role in the first pass but the framing and pacing really come out when you know what to expect. Five stars
• No Other Choice was a good Thursday night watch. Solo theatre experiences are always special. Mostly made me wanna rewatch Old Boy
